Twenty Ninth Street
The Twenty Ninth Street is a whole shopping district, not just a mall, owned by Macerich, located east of Downtown Boulder, Colorado. This retail district opened in 2006 on the location where the Crossroads Mall used to be. Not exactly a mall, the Twenty Ninth Street is made up of small strip malls and big-box stores, which are located on regular streets, in three different neighborhoods, offering great variety for shoppers.
Although its design is not typical, this shopping center has the characteristics of a regular mall, being anchored by 4 stores: Century Theaters, Home Depot, Macy's, and Wild Oats Corp Campus. The mall consists of almost 80 shops and eateries. The Century Boulder 16 screen Cinemark Theater offers many possibilities for your personal entertainment, but if you don't want to go to the cinema, there are always fun places to see nearby, such as the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse. This entirely outdoor shopping center is also home to "The Wonder of Science at Twenty Ninth Street" a set of interactive science installations.
Open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays, the mall boasts an interesting collection of shops for the upscale shopper, such as . The parking is no different from what you will find on any given street, no valet parking being available. Due to the nature of this mall, there are no special customer services such as the rental of strollers. No major security incidents have been reported.
